Miniatures – Lynne Connolly

My hobby is miniatures.
Making and filling doll’s houses is a lifelong hobby for me, along with many other people around the world. I’ve met some lovely people doing this!
It all started with my first doll’s house, a four roomed cottage that my Dad made for me when I was seven. The small world fascinated me, and when I was older, I started making them again.
I’ve put a selection of my houses and room boxes on this page, but really, it’s a hobby that rivals writing for me!

This is my large Tudor house. It’s fully lit, and the fires flicker!

It’s an L shape, so there are rooms on the front and at the side. It was made by a local craftsman, but I finished it, adding the studding (timbers), the tiled roof and the ageing. It’s an ongoing project. Houses like these are never finished! This one is a bit of a monster!

Smaller Projects

I made a study with a Carlton House Desk, a laptop and a tray of tea and cake. What more could a writer want?
